The Oilfields Regional Arena has a large ice surface, concession services and a banquet room. Black Diamond also has 2 outdoor skating rinks, 3 ball diamonds, 1 T-Ball diamond, 5 "Tots Lots" and playground facilities, 1 football field, and 1 soccer field. A curling rink is under construction. The community also offers a number of pathways, including the Goat Trail walking path, the Friendship Trail between Black Diamond and Turner Valley, and the Beaver Dam Trail.Black Diamond's sister community, Turner Valley, also offers a number of recreational facilities, including: a movie theatre, a bowling alley, a swimming pool [summer only], and the Turner Valley Golf and Country Club. The Black Diamond Centennial Campground is operated by the Town of Black Diamond, and features 41 stalls, 31 with electricity and public washrooms/showers.
